G.R.P. Hulls are inspected specifically for osmosis and distortion around bulkheads. Moisture Measurements are taken to ascertain if the gelcoat or laminate have absorbed water.
Wooden Hulls. The planking and internal timbers are inspected for rot, decay and worm attack. Moisture Measurements are taken to ascertain if the lamination have absorbed water.
Surveys are carried out by non-destructive means and this can only be changed if the boat owners’ approval is given.
Please note that the proper preparation of a boat before the survey greatly enhances the quality of the survey. Guidance on preparation will be given to our clients.
